Hi everyone!
How about some good news for a Monday? After the last update, I had a few meetings with Ninja Division where we discussed the next steps needed to get us to a shipping date. Below is a general timeline:
So! We're expecting to start shipping in mid-april. For those of you who need to update your shipping address. Towards the middle of March I will post a sheet to allow updated shipping to make sure all packages get to the right houses.
I want to apologize again for the incredible delays but I also want to assure everyone that things are back on track and you can expect everything to be on its way to you soon!

Hey everyone,
Since the last update I've been working on a few things people have asked for. The website is back up and along with it we've created P&P copies of both Porcelain Gods and Black Label for our backers to download and have fun with while waiting for the real thing to arrive. Click the links below!
I also wanted to show off the new packaging that we're doing for the original DrunkQuest. This new tin box will be replicated for 90 Proof Seas and Porcelain Gods!
In the coming weeks i'll be getting more pictures of the rest of the tins, Black Label, the Kegerator box and more. As soon as I get them i'll be sure to update with them here.
I want to apologize again for how long this has been taking but I also want to assure everyone that everything is in production and the upgrades to the quality of items will hopefully be worth the wait for everyone!
Shipping update

Hi everyone! I know a lot of you have been wondering about when PG and BL are gonna start shipping and waiting for an update. I've been holding off until I had concrete answers to give you, and I finally have them.
Both PG and BL are in production and we've pulled out all the stops! Moving forward DrunkQuest and all its expansions will come in sturdy metal tin packaging like this...
These tins are stackable and will help protect your cards during travel! We've also updated the rules for all DQ and its expansions and made them more concise and easier for new players to get playing!
The Kegerator box has also seen some improvement as we've used the same fancy features we put in Black Label and moved them into the Kegerator, meaning, magnetic lid, thick sturdy blackcore cardboard stock and high contrast printing/glossing.
Working with out new publisher Ninja Division has afforded us better quality production and actual prototyping (something we weren't able to do before). Which brings us to...
Because of the switch to a new manufacturer and because I personally didn't take into account what prototyping and a new Publisher would do to our turnaround we are very behind. I've always made sure to be open and honest with our backers and I want to continue that trend by not making excuses, just facts.
We're delayed until October. Because of the upgrades we've made to almost all our products and because I want Black Label to be as perfect as I can make it the delays are turning out to be pretty significant. I know this is terrible and upsetting news but just like the last time, when I miss the date my apology doesn't just come with words. The next update will show off a free item all backers will be receiving as an apology for the delay.
I apologize for the extended wait and understand the frustration but in order to make sure both PG and BL get the production quality they deserve the delay is unfortunately necessary.
If I can speed up manufacturing and delivery I will and I will keep everyone updated!
Black Label

Hello again everyone! As we're getting very close to production I wanted to take some time and really dive into what makes Black Label unique. But first I want to go over exactly what Black Label is. I've wanted to make a collectors edition of DrunkQuest since our first campaign. A cool edition where I could pull out all the stops and create something that's as striking visually as it is fun to play. Since the first Kickstarter we've learned a lot about what cards people really liked, what mechanics worked best and what needed to be tweaked or tightened. The end result is that when we set out to make Black Label we wanted a definitive edition. Something that could distill everything we've learned into one singular box. And I think we've done just that. Lets go over each piece starting with the Heroes and Realms!
With the Heroes and Realms we wanted to push the design more minimalistic. Since these are the first cards a player will see and because they sit on the table the entire game we wanted to make sure that it was immediately noticeable that you were playing a different version of DrunkQuest. We looked over each Hero ability and adjusted them as needed to make them each a slightly better option to use on a players turn and for the Realms we liked the redesign of Last Call so much that we carried it over into the game proper.
Lets talk about Monsters! Monsters are central to DrunkQuest. You need to defeat them to win and they're what everyone is effecting during the circle. In the first edition of DrunkQuest we had 60 Monsters and 8 abilities that were replicated throughout. We did this so new players wouldn't have to learn 60 abilities while also learning the game. But with Black Label we already knew that we would be catering to players who've been playing DrunkQuest for a while. The other thing we've come to find over the years is that while the Treasure pile may get used and reshuffled up to 3 times during some games, the Monster pile rarely, if ever, gets depleted. So! For Black Label we've done a few things to our Monsters. Besides updating each and every Monsters art. We've cut the number down by almost half, given all of them unique abilities. And really looked at what abilities were fun. We know a lot of people really liked Status Effects as well. So a number of our Monster abilities include table wide Status Effects that remain in play for as long as the Monster remains undefeated. Having Monsters that players look forward to or dread is something we hope will make each Monster memorable the same way Treasure cards can be!
Likewise we wanted to give our Bosses an overhaul. Having abilities that changed each time they were drawn. Giving each one its own flavor and allowing Boss Encounters to shake the game up in different ways.
Now lets talk about Treasure cards! We went through every Treasure card we've ever made and looked at what made some really fun, some super powerful and others a little too situational. Let's start with Actions...
Actions being your main interaction with the game we wanted each one to be fun and unique. In regular DrunkQuest we have a few Actions that overlap in abilities and some that were too complicated. Aged Bottle is a perfect example, the other version was a little hard to use and the description left many players just holding onto it rather then using it. The old Master Brew was limiting and not really a fun card so we changed it completely. Other cards like Water needed better clarification on what exactly they did.
Instants were designed to be fun ways to further mess with other players. To get yourself out of trouble and to corner others into making mistakes. We looked at all our Instants and brought over the ones we think best represent this. With the coins we had 2 that were single target and 1 that was table-wide. in Black Label we wanted to keep theme with each card types so now, Copper, Silver, Gold and New Platinum all give single players drinks. Upgrade was a fun card from one of our Boozters but it was an Action. Making it an Instant gives it much more versatility and sets up better "Gotcha" moments as you let your friends pile drinks on your Monster. The Spellbook is another card where we saw redundancy. Giving other players drinks is strictly the Coins jobs now so it left us room to experiment. We think Spellbook will be a card that is played late game when everyones looking for a few extra Treasures to punish the player(s) in the lead.
Permanents are a favorite of everyone. With the original DrunkQuest we didn't have very many as we didn't want the table to be cluttered with them. We also had a few that basically did the same thing. For Black Label, we've doubled the amount of Permanents included and gave each one something unique and fun.
Interrupts are still the rarest and some of the strongest cards strategically in the game. We improved the text on some, added an extra card type to others and tightened the theme that Interrupts are spells the Heroes are casting. We also brought in 1 from the Boozters and added a few new ones.
Each card has been touched in some form or another. We've added near 50 new, never before seen cards and even the rules have been rewritten to better explain how card-types function. And with Black Label being a Limited Edition many of these cards will never be seen again! We can't wait for everyone who ordered it to get their hands on it and tell us what they think of the changes!
Next Up: The next update will focus on shipping and giving everyone one last chance to change their mailing address before we lock it all in and start sending out packages. Thanks again for everyones continued support of Loot Corps and DrunkQuest.
